DISC Programs

"DISC" is an abbreviation of the names of the 4 essential component programs of Nano Imaging Expert Program.
Through the set of DISC programs, we educate robust and work-ready researchers in image science, "nano imaging experts". The experts understand broad science of nano-scale phenomena and nanomaterials, and can readily apply it to future "image science".

The name of "DISC" also means "disc"-type storage media, which typically record "image" information in "nano"-scales.

The curriculum also includes metrological science as an interface connecting fields of "image" and "nano" sciences.

Curriculum

Master's Course

Promoting "Nano Imaging Associates", who carries background compatible with both "image" and "nano" sciences.

Doctoral Course

Nominating excellent students for "the nano imaging expert program" through interview and the examation of their thesis, research achievements, and research proposal.
Promoting them as "Nano Imaging Experts", who are robust and work-ready reseachers in image science under the "Nano Imaging Expert Program".

Promoting the other doctoral candidates as "Nano Imaging Super Associate", work-ready engineers, by colaborating 2 (or more) advisors from both "image" and "nano" areas.
